Falcons Complete Another Deal

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons acquired rookie centerman Blair Clarance from the Columbia Inferno yesterday in exchange for cash. He is the third player the team has traded for in the past two weeks, joining defenseman Doug MacIver and center Jim Leger as newcomers to the Falcons.

Clarance recorded one goal and 13 penalty minutes in 10 games with the Inferno. The 5'11", 195. lb. native of Stratford, ON, played his college hockey at St. Lawrence University, where he served as captain his senior season and compiled 69 points (29g-40a) and 134 penalty minutes throughout his four-year playing career.

Fresno is spending Thanksgiving Day in Boise, Idaho, where they will play the third game of a three-game set against the Idaho Steelheads tomorrow night at the Bank of America Centre. The Steelheads won the first two games of the series by scores of 2-1 and 6-2 on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. The tape delayed radio broadcast of tomorrow night's game can be heard on KAAT 103.1 FM beginning at approximately 10 p.m.

The club's next home game is Sunday, Nov. 30, when they host the Alaska Aces at Save Mart Center at 5 p.m. Tickets to every Falcons game at Save Mart Center are on sale now beginning as low as $8 at the Save Mart Center box office.
