Faith, Family, and Football
FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco Fighters indoor football team will host Faith and Family Night during its next home game against the Louisville Xtreme on Saturday, June 19, at 7:05 p.m. CT in Comerica Center.
In addition to music and other impassioned stories of faith and overcoming obstacles, the Fighters will host a special guest at halftime. Greg Kelley, whose heart-wrenching story is told in the Emmy Award-winning Showtime series Outcry, will share his testimony and message with those attending the game. Kelley was falsely imprisoned in 2014 at the age of 17, released in 2017, and later exonerated in November 2019.
In prison, Kelley leaned on his faith, finding hope through bible studies and mentorship with his fellow inmates. Now Kelley spends his time preaching the gospel and living out his dream of playing Division I Football. He recently finished his first season at Eastern Michigan and is transferring to be closer to his family in Texas.
"I want to share how my faith and the love of my family and friends allowed me to never give up and chase my dreams," said Kelley.
The first-place and undefeated Frisco Fighters are inviting all groups, church families, and youth organizations for a night honoring faith and family while also enjoying Frisco's newest and most exciting professional sports action.
The Fighters are offering special group ticket prices for the game. To learn more, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (469) 535-8820.
