November 29, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Fairbanks Grizzlies News Release
The Fairbanks Grizzlies are pleased to announce the signing of Wide Receiver John Halman. The 6'2 220lb WR singed a free agent contract out of college with the Washington Redskins before landing with the New Orleans Saints. Halman will become the fourth Grizzlies player to come from Concordia College, AL, re-joining teammates Eric Taylor (WR), Jamaal Stokes (WR), and Ken Johnson (QB). In college, Halman was a two-time, 1st-team All-SEAC selection at WR and had over 900 yards receiving as a senior.
"To be able to bring in a WR with John's skill set that can also be that physical presence we were looking for is really big for us," stated Fairbanks Grizzlies Head Coach Robert Fuller. "His experience and maturity will be great for our locker room and his humble nature will make him very popular with our fans."
The Fairbanks Grizzlies are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The 2011 season kicks off in February. Season tickets for the Grizzlies 2011 season are available for purchase.
