Fairbanks, Alaska. The Fairbanks Grizzlies Professional Indoor Football Team is pleased to announce that the upcoming game to be played on the Alaska National Guard Field at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks, AK will be Military Appreciation night to be sponsored in part by the Air National Guard. This game will feature your 5-3 Grizzlies who are on a 5 game win streak versus the 2-6 Wenatchee Valley Venom. Each year the Grizzlies dedicate a game night to our very deserving military. It is the nation's military who sacrifice so much in order for us to enjoy the freedom that we do. Military appreciation night is dedicated to the men and women of our country who make the daily and in some cases the ultimate sacrifice for that freedom. Please join us on Friday April 29, 2011 in recognizing and showing our gratitude to our U.S. Military. The Grizzlies have a ticket special for this game allowing anyone with a valid Military I.D. to receive a free ticket with the purchase of a ticket. The Grizzlies have been honoring a military family at each of the home games this season. Honoring a deserving family and all of our local military will be something very special. The Grizzlies will be wearing a unique and specially designed jersey just for this game and will auction off these jerseys at the conclusion of the game.

The Grizzlies will also have a special guest to help honor our military for this game. Daryn Colledge, 2011 super bowl champion from the Green Bay Packers, Boise State University standout and North Pole High School graduate will be on hand helping the Grizzlies and fans honor our military on this special night.
