February 7, 2011. Fairbanks, Alaska. The Fairbanks Grizzlies are pleased to announce a partnership with Alaska Airlines for the 2011 Indoor Football League season. As the official airline of the Grizzlies, Alaska Airlines will sponsor the 2011 'Youth Night' game against the Kent Predators on June 3, 2011, at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks.
"We are very pleased to have support from our hometown airline and corporate partner Alaska Airlines," said Rick Quinn, co-owner of the Grizzlies. "The Fairbanks Grizzlies are eager to kick-off the 2011 playing season and the youth of our community are the reason the team works so hard to keep this professional football team in Fairbanks. Each week seeing all the kids reaching out to players and getting autographs or photographs is such a joy."
The Fairbanks Grizzlies are members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The 2011 season begins in late February.
