Bloomington Extreme News Release

Defensive lineman Justin Montgomery, who has been selected to play in this year's United Indoor Football League All-Star Game, signed with the Bloomington Extreme, team officials announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pound Montgomery, who played in 10 games with Wichita this year, was waived by the Wild earlier this week. The Kansas State University graduate participated in the St. Louis Rams training camp in 2004.

Montgomery had 18 solo tackles and 11 assists this season for Wichita, which competes in the Eastern Conference of the UIF with the Extreme. He will wear No. 61 Bloomington when it meets Omaha in a 7:05 p.m. contest Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

His signing gives the Extreme 11 players, who have been selected to play for the Eastern Conference in the July 19 All-Star game in Sioux City.

Other Extreme players named as all-stars earlier Tuesday include Dusty Burk, James Walton, Marvin Campbell, Peter Christofilakos, Quince Holman, Keith Brooks, Andre Raymond, Terrill Mayberry, James Temple and Eric Johnson.

In other team moves Tuesday, quarterback Tim Brasic and defensive linemen Chris Burgess were waived while quarterback Jim DuPage was resigned.
