RiverCity Rage News Release

St. Charles, MO - The United Indoor Football League has announced the rosters for their second annual All Star Game which will be held on Saturday, July 19th in Sioux City, Iowa. The RiverCity Rage will be represented by four players once again this season. Linebacker Joe Bevis and safety Milton Proctor were named for the first time while offensive lineman Barry Brueggeman and kick returner Hurtis Chinn were named for the second straight season.

Chinn leads the league in all-purpose yards per game (137.2) and kick return average (24 yards). He has also been named 'Special Teams Player of the Week' twice this season. The two-time All Star leads the Rage with 10 touchdowns this season - six receiving, two kick return, and two rushing. "He has done it all for us this season," said Rage head coach Ken Stills. "Opposing coaches have told me before games that they weren't going to kickoff to him. They would rather give us the ball at the 20 (yard line) than give him a chance to run it back. He has been exceptional everywhere on the field this season. Everywhere we line him up he excels."

Bevis leads the league in tackles (92.5) by an amazing 17.5 over his nearest competitor. The University of Illinois alum from Edwardsville, IL also leads the Rage with 10 tackles for a loss while also adding two rushing touchdowns on offense. "He is a coach on the field," said Stills. "Before the season started I didn't know if he was going to be our guy at linebacker. I don't know where we would be if he wasn't here now. We have a very talented defense and he is the leader of them all. He has been fighting through double and triple teams all season. He had to have been a unanimous choice."

Proctor ranks second in the UIF with eight interceptions and fourth in passes defended with 16. The St. Louis native and Kansas State alum is also third on the team with 52.5 tackles. "He is playing out his skin right now," said Stills. "He is by far the best safety in the league and that's not just my bias. He works as hard as anyone on the field and in the film room. I truly believe that he will be playing at higher levels of football in the years to come."

Bruggeman, a 2007 UIF All Star has had another strong and steady season for the Rage. The Edwardsville, IL native has been protecting RiverCity quarterbacks for four seasons. "He has been a horse for us on the line all season," said Stills. "He is a lunch pail kind of guy. He works hard and plays hard. He plays all the way to the whistle and some people take that the wrong way. That's just who he is. He is another guy who will find a place to play at another level very soon."

The second place Rage head to Sioux City this week for a huge game against the Bandits. With a victory, the Rage will clinch home field for the first round of the playoffs while keeping an outside shot at the overall top seed in their division. The Rage will then play their final regular season game at home on Saturday, June 14th against the Billings Outlaws. For tickets call (636) 896.4285 or visit ragefootball.com.
