Windsor Express News Release

(WINDSOR, ON) The "Clash at the Colosseum II" turned into a one-sided affair as the Windsor Express kept a perfect record at home, blasting Halifax 95-68 on Wednesday night.

The victory was a record setting fight, with Windsor (15-7) giving up a franchise low 68 points in the game.

The previous record was 73 points against the now defunct Montreal Jazz on February 27th, 2013.

Halifax (10-11) took the first swing, but Windsor fought back to steal a 17-14 advantage after the first quarter.

From there, it was all Express.

They outscored the Rainmen 23-15 in the second quarter, taking a 40-29 lead into halftime.

The tune was the same in the second half as Windsor piled it on; taking the third quarter 28-20 and wrapping up the victory with a fourth quarter 27-19 win.

Six players, including all five starters for the Express scored in double figures, with Quinnel Brown paced his teammates with 19 points.

Kevin Loiselle finished with 9 rebounds and Tony Bennett dished off seven assists.

The Express were able to accomplish the feat without guard, Gary Gibson and forward, Chris Commons in the lineup due to injury.

Halifax and Windsor hook up again on February 8th, this time in Nova Scotia, to wrap up the season series.

Windsor's win increases their cushion over London in the Central Conference to two games and moves them to 11-0 at home this season.

The team finishes off January with a couple dates against the Mississauga Power.

This Saturday, January 24th, the Express travel to the Hershey Centre before the teams meet up on Saturday, January 31st back at the WFCU Centre for a 7:00pm start.

Individual, season and flex pack tickets are available at www.windsorexpress.ca.
