Exhibition Game, Pre-Season Camp Schedule Released

(Southaven, MS) --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League have announced their pre-season schedule in preparation for the 2009-2010 regular season. RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin "Killer" Kaminski says a pair of pre-season games has been scheduled.
Following check in and pre-season physicals, training camp for this year's edition of the RiverKings will start with the first practice on Monday, October 5th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
During the rest of that week, Kaminski will put his team through the paces between 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 6th through Thursday, October 8th. Scrimmages will he scheduled between 4:00 and 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday of that week.
Kaminski says RiverKings fans are welcome to come see the team in action during those practice and scrimmage sessions.
The culmination of the first week of workouts will be a pair of exhibition games between the RiverKings and Northern Conference rival Bossier-Shreveport. The first game between the RiverKings and Mudbugs will be played at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven on Friday, October 9th at 7:05 PM.
The RiverKings will return the favor with another exhibition game between the teams scheduled for the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, Louisiana on Saturday, October 10th, also at 7:05 PM.
More details regarding tickets and other information surrounding the RiverKings' exhibition contest at the DeSoto Civic Center will be released in the next several days.
The first regular season contest for the RiverKings will be the home opener, a Northern Conference battle against the Tulsa Oilers, set for Friday, October 16th at the DCC, set for 7:05 PM.
