'Bugs Announce Preseason Games vs. Mississippi

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League today announced details for a pair of exhibition games to be played against the Northern Conference rival Mississippi RiverKings during 2009 training camp. This year's preseason schedule includes a rare treat for Mudbugs fans, as Bossier-Shreveport will host a home exhibition game at the CenturyTel Center for the first time in seven years.
The Mudbugs will open the preseason on Friday, October 9 with a 7:05 pm faceoff with the RiverKings in Southaven, Mississippi. The following day, the 'Bugs return to Bossier City for a second and final exhibition contest against Mississippi at the CenturyTel Center. Opening faceoff is set for 7:05 pm as the Mudbugs will play a preseason game in front of their home crowd for the first time since hosting the Fort Worth Brahmas in October 2002.
The game will be your only opportunity to see the 2009-10 Mudbugs take the ice in a game setting prior to the team's regular season opener on Friday, October 16 vs. Laredo. While some players use the game as a tune-up for the start of the season, others will have much more at stake as they look to prove they deserve a spot on their team's opening day roster.
Tickets for the Saturday, October 10 preseason game feature all general admission seating and will be available for purchase at the CenturyTel Center box office only. Cost is just $5.00 for Mudbugs 2009-10 season ticket holders and $8.00 for all non-season ticket holders.
Single-game tickets for Mudbugs 2009-10 home games, including the preseason date vs. Mississippi and all 32 regular season games at the CenturyTel Center, will go on sale at 10:00 am on Monday, September 14.
