Everett, WA - The AquaSox lost to Salem-Keizer Thursday, dropping them to second place in the Northwest League, 3-1. Ryan Garcia knocked in the lone AquaSox run in the fourth.

AquaSox left-handed starter Max Roberts' first pitch Thursday night would result in a double off the Judd & Black sign in right field. Two batters later a single would result in the first Volcanoes run and just like that the AquaSox quickly found themselves with runners on the corners, only one out, and a run down. The Frogs salvaged the inning, though, and converted a 4-3 double play.

The fourth inning would bring another Volcanoes run in by the way of Wander Franco's RBI double, 2-0. Yet again, Roberts pitched his way out of a tricky inning as Salem-Keizer left two men on base.

Ryan Ramiz hit a single in the fourth to break up the Volcanoes no-hitter. After Ramiz took second on a wild pitch, Ryan Garcia hit an RBI single to right field bringing in the only run, 2-1.

After allowing two hits and a walk in the fifth inning, Roberts' night would end, and reliever Noah Zavolas would take over on the mound. Zavolas pitched 2.1 innings, allowing only two hits and striking out a pair of Volcanoes. Dayeison Arias came on in the eighth and allowed a quick solo home run to Joey Bart. This would prove to be too much for Everett to come back from and the game would end, 3-1 Volcanoes.

Friday the Frogs will look to take the lead in the series on Halloween Night presented by Carleton Farms with an Everett Giants Throwback Hat for the first 1,000 fans. There are several other promotions coming up on this homestand including Pink at the Park on Saturday, Healthier Communities Day on Sunday with Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act presented by Tulalip Resort Casino and AquaSox Socks as well. Tickets for the series are available at AquaSox.com or by calling our Front Office (425) 258-3673.
