Everblades Announce Their 2010-11 Schedule

The Florida Everblades in conjunction with the ECHL officially announced today their 2010-11 schedule. As in the past, the Everblades will play a 72-game schedule with 36 home and road dates. The '10-'11 campaign begins on Friday, October 15 and concludes on Saturday, April 2.

The Everblades open their 13th season of play with a pair of games vs. the Gwinnett Gladiators on Friday & Saturday, October 15 & 16. The Everblades conclude the '10-'11 season at home with a trio of games vs. the South Carolina Stingrays on March 30, April 1 & 2.

The schedule features a mix of games against opponents within the South division and the two northern divisions. The Everblades will play 40 of 72 games against division foes, with the remaining games filling out against clubs from the East and North Divisions. In 2010-11 the Everblades will play host to the defending Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones for a three game stint in January and will face the newest ECHL club from Greenville, SC a total of 15 times, with eight coming on home ice.

The Everblades enjoy a six-game home stand and a five-game home stand as their longest stretches at Germain Arena during the year. The five game stand is November 17 - 24, when the Everblades host Toledo (3 games) and Trenton (2 games). The six game stretch ends the regular season from March 23 - April 2 when the Everblades host Wheeling and South Carolina for three games each.

Florida's longest road trip comes in the form of a six-game trek from November 5 - 13 with three games each at South Carolina and Greenville. The second longest trip is a five game northern swing that takes them through Reading, Elmira, Kalamazoo and Cincinnati from November 27 - December 4.
