EVANSVILLE, IN.--- Regaining second place in the tight taut-fraught Central Hockey League Turner Conference standings on the strength of a strong, hard-earned 3-1 triumph the past Friday night at the Ford Center against the Texas Brahmas, the Evansville IceMen continue their 6-game holiday homestand Tuesday night when they renew hostilities with the Dayton Gems at 7:15 pm.

It's the first of three home games in this holiday week for the IceMen 23(14-7-2) 30-points. It's also game #3 of their season-longest 6-game homestand in which General Manager/Head Coach Rich Kromm's contingent has earned 3 of a possible 4-points thus far on a 2(1-0-1) mark. For the season, Evansville has attained the Turner Conference premier home record at 10(7-2-1) for 15-total points. The IceMen have been insuperable against the Gems, having achieved a perfect 4(4-0-0) record; 2(2-0-0) on home ice.

Tuesday night, the IceMen are featuring a great holiday season giveaway in the form of Power Wheels Cars for some lucky fans to win. Also, immediately following the game, there will be a special IceMen skating party, exclusively for all season ticket holders who will have the opportunity to skate with their favorite IceMen players on the Ford Center ice surface.

This Friday night, December 30th, the IceMen will rekindle rancor with their principal archrivals, the first place Fort Wayne Komets in a 7:15 duel on "Hog Night." The Komets launch this holiday week with a 3-point lead over the IceMen, though Evansville does own 1-game in hand. The IceMen are 7(2-4-1) in clashes with the K's this year, having dropped the last 4-meetings in succession. Fort Wayne has inflicted the IceMen with the latter's only 2-home defeats thus far this season. The Fort Wayners are flourishing with a 14(11-2-1) mark through the last 14-games, being 12(9-3-0) in their last dozen dates abroad.

Friday night is "Hog Night" as area high school football teams vie for the First Annual "IceMen Hog Night Trophy" which will be presented to the winning school which completes consumption of the Red Robin Restaurant menu on the ice at the Ford Center.

The IceMen culminate the holiday week on Saturday night, New Year's Eve, when they contest with the Wichita Thunder who will be making their first-ever appearance in the Tri-State since the advent of the IceMen AA/CHL franchise. It's "South Central Media Night" with face-off 7:15 pm. The IceMen defeated the Thunder in Wichita in the first ever overall meeting between the two inter-conference foes, back on December 2nd, 5-2.

The IceMen organization, in concert with South Central Media will ring in the New Year at the Ford Center with lots of New Year's Eve giveaways in the form of party hats, noisemakers as well as a bevy special prizes.

The IceMen launch the week in second place with 30-points in 23-games, having played the least number of games in the CHL.

The Turner Conference standings find the top 6-teams separated by only 7-points and second to sixth place distinguished by a mere 4-points.
