Evans Named CFL Top Performer for Week 8

OTTAWA-GATINEAU - Ottawa REDBLACKS quarterback Caleb Evans has been named a Canadian Football League Top Performer for Week 8, the league announced today.
Evans led the REDBLACKS to their first victory of the season, Sunday, in a road matchup with the Toronto Argonauts. The 24-year-old pivot threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns, also rushing for 31 yards in a 23-13 Ottawa win.
A native of Mansfield, Texas, this is Evans' second Top Performer nod, earning his first during Week 9 of the 2021 season.
