Eubanks Leads Spurs in Win over Go-Go at Winter Showcase

LAS VEGAS - The Austin Spurs (9-8) defeated the Capital City Go-Go (7-9), 111-96, on Day Three of the 2019 MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase.

For Austin, San Antonio Spurs two-way player Drew Eubanks led the way with a double-double of a game-high 31 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Keldon Johnson, on assignment from the Spurs, was one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Reserve Dedric Lawson accounted for 21 points and six rebounds in 29 minutes. With the win, Austin improves to 9-8.

The Spurs won the battle in the paint, outrebounding the Go-Go 57-39. While Austin led for most of the night, the game featured three lead changes and one tie.

Capital City was paced by forward Jalen Jones, who recorded a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Four of the Go-Go's starters scored in double figures and guard Kellen Dunham added seven points in 15 minutes off the bench. With tonight's loss, Capital City drops to 7-9 on the season.

Tonight's game concludes each team's Winter Showcase schedule. The Spurs will return to action on Friday, Dec. 27 when they visit the Salt Lake City Stars at 9 p.m. ET. The Go-Go will also resume play on Friday when they host the Maine Red Claws at 7 p.m. ET. Both games will be on NBAGLeague.com.
