ESPN to Cover Atlantic League All-Star Game

SUGAR LAND, TX - The Atlantic League All Star Game on July 16 to be held at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas will break new ground by giving viewers a new and unique perspective of the game. The coverage will begin at the start of the Home Run Derby at 5:45 p.m. CT. Cameras on the field will be catching all of the home-run action and will also be conducting on-field player interviews during the event. Following the Derby, ESPN will also be covering the All-Star Game where fans will get to see players, managers and coaches in action.

Play-by-play broadcaster Ira Liebman and sports analyst Brett Dolan will be interacting with players and coaches during the game and will be joined by special guests during the broadcast. The two managers, Gary Gaetti of the Sugar Land Skeeters and Butch Hobson of the Lancaster Barnstormers, will have the ability to discuss game action, situational strategy and baseball today as the game is played.

The 2014 Atlantic League All-Star Game has a new format, as the Sugar Land Skeeters will take on the best of the Atlantic League in a "Texas vs. East Coast" matchup. All-Star festivities will begin on Tuesday, July 15 as Memorial Hermann presents the Atlantic League All-Star Fan Fest featuring a "Pros vs. Joes" whiffle ball game and Kevin Fowler concert for fans to enjoy. The 2014 Atlantic League All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, July 16th at Constellation Field.
