(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of wide receiver L.J. Castile and defensive back Markus Smith to the practice roster.

86 - L.J. Castile

Wide Receiver (international)

College: Delta State

Born: Sept. 7, 1987 - La Marque, TX

Height: 6.03

Weight: 220

In one season at Delta State (2010), Castile recorded 67 receptions for 900 yards and 13 touchdowns. Prior to Delta State, he spent three seasons at the University of Houston (2007-09), recording 60 receptions for 854 yards and 16 touchdowns. After college, Castile spent three seasons in the Arena Football League with New Orleans Voodoo (2011-13) and the Utah Blaze (2013). He recorded 156 receptions for 1,910 yards and 42 touchdowns.

10 - Markus Smith

Defensive Back (international)

College: Nevada

Born: April 5, 1992 - Corona, CA

Height: 6.01

Weight: 195

In two seasons at the University of Nevada (2012-13), Smith recorded 75 tackles (53 solo). Prior to Nevada, Smith was a two-year starter at Riverside Community College and earned First-Team All-Conference honours as a sophomore.
