(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of import wide receiver Marcus Henry and import defensive back Otis Merrill.
Marcus Henry

College: Kansas
Born: Feb. 21, 1986 - Hinesville, GA
Height: 6.05
Weight: 224
Henry returns to the green and gold where he originally signed as a free agent on April 5, 2011. In two seasons, he had 61 receptions for 766 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to the CFL, he played four seasons at Kansas where he hauled in 54 passes for 1,014 yards and 10 touchdowns his senior year. Henry was drafted by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft and spent two seasons on the practice roster. After being released by New York in 2010, he spent several weeks on the Carolina Panthers' practice roster.

Born: June 6, 1988 - Cleveland, OH
Height: 5.11
Weight: 188
As a senior at Illinois State, Merrill registered 41 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble, earning him second-team All Missouri Valley Football Conference honours. In three years as a Redbird, Merrill made 76 tackles and seven pass breakups over 32 games. In 2012, he spent time with the Green Bay Packers.
