
Esks sign O-lineman McGrath to extension

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced today that non-import offensive lineman Joe McGrath has signed a contract extension.
McGrath was originally drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (2nd overall) in the 2003 Canadian College Draft. He was claimed by Edmonton from Calgary's practice roster and went on to start 15 games at left tackle in 2004.
The 24 year-old Moose Jaw native spent four years at the University of Miami and won a national championship with the Hurricanes in 2001.
"Joe is a big part of our future on the offensive line and I am very pleased he has committed to remaining in Edmonton," said head coach Danny Maciocia.
