(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of import linebacker Rennie Curran.

"Rennie is a very athletic linebacker who will add depth and competition to a position we are already strong in," says Eskimo Head Coach Kavis Reed.

Curran joins the Eskimos after originally being drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the third round (97th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft and later spending time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A stand out at the University of Georgia (2007-09), Curran ended his collegiate career ranked 16th in school history with 298 tackles, including back-to-back seasons with 100+ tackles.
