
Esks Raise Funds for Ovarian Cancer Research

(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimos invite the media to the Eskimos Women's Dinner, presented by Maclab Enterprises, on Thursday May 5, 2016, from 6 - 10 p.m. when the Green and Gold host nearly 400 women to raise funds for ovarian cancer research.
The sold out event commences with a champagne reception at 6 p.m. hosted by Eskimos players in the locker room at Commonwealth Stadium. A dinner program follows at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium where the Eskimos will honour the memory of 21-year employee Pam Monastyrskyj and others making a significant impact in ovarian cancer research.
Eskimos President and CEO Len Rhodes will be in attendance and available to media for comment during the champagne reception. Also in attendance will be:

Julian Monastyrskyj, widower of Pam Monastyrskyj
The Eskimos Women's Dinner, presented by Maclab Enterprises, began in 2007 in honour of Monastyrskyj who lost her battle with ovarian cancer two years earlier. In 2008, the Edmonton Eskimos Women's Ovarian Cancer Research Endowment Fund was set up to provide long-term, sustainable funding for researchers at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women. To date, the annual event has raised $392,000 to battle the deadly disease.
