
Esks Acquire Canadian Running Back in Trade with Lions

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have acquired non-import RB Jerome Messam from the BC Lions in exchange for a 5th round selection in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft, the club announced today.
The Graceland product spent his first CFL season (2010) with the BC Lions playing in all 18 regular season games and the West Semi-Final. He saw significant playing time on offence where he carried the ball 23 times for 92 yards and a pair of TDs while catching five passes for another 57 yards. Jerome also had a major impact on special teams recording eight tackles.
