
Eskimos sign LB Doggett

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos today announced the signing of free agent import linebacker Derrick Doggett.
A standout at Oregon State , Doggett was a three time Pac-10 second team honoree and a key reason the Beavers led the nation in rush defence and overall were ranked the 8th best defence in U.S. college football. As a senior in 2007, he posted a team leading 93 tackles and was the defensive MVP in the Emerald Bowl after making eight tackles and one sack vs. Maryland. Doggett was coached at OSU by former Eskimo assistant Greg Newhouse.
