
Eskimos LFA Players Present Gift to Mexican Fire Fighters Battling Forest Fires in Northern Alberta

(Edmonton) - This Friday, July 26, Eskimos wide receiver Diego Viamontes and defensive back Jose Alfonsin will present an Eskimos flag to the 101 fire fighters from Jalisco, Mexico who have been fighting forest fires in Northern Alberta.
The fire crews arrived in Edmonton on June 25 and have battled the fires in the McMillan Wildfire Complex ever since. They return home to Mexico on Saturday, July 27.
Viamontes was selected first overall in the first ever LFA - CFL Draft which was held in Mexico City on January, 14. Alfonsin was selected in the third round (19th overall).
Eskimo players, Mexican fire fighters, and MLA Lester Slave Lake Pat Rehn will be Executive Royal Hotel (8450 Sparrow Drive, Leduc) at approximately 7:30 p.m.
