Tulsa Drillers News Release

Frisco, TX- The Tulsa Drillers began a seven-game road trip on Wednesday night, with the first three taking place in Frisco against the Roughriders. Two errors that occurred on the same play, resulting in two unearned runs, proved to be the difference-maker in a 2-1 loss. The defeat drops Tulsa to a 16-16 record and two games behind first-place Springfield.

The Drillers defense struggled early. After a leadoff single in the first, Frisco's Yonny Hernandez put a ball in play to Drillers second baseman Omar Estevez. The ball went through Estevez's legs and into right field. Carlos Rincon then mishandled the ball before throwing it back to the infield. After the two errors, Isiah Kiner-Falefa followed with a two-run single.

Tulsa scored its only run in the fourth inning. Conner Wong led off with a triple and Cody Thomas followed with a walk. Zach McKinstry then hit into a force out, scoring Wong from third, bringing the score to 2-1.
