Errors cost Sox game

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release


The Colorado Springs Sky Sox committed 4 errors leading to their loss Wednesday night 9-7 to the Portland Beavers. Denny Stark making his first rehab start with the Sox gave up 9 runs with only 4 of them being earned. The Sox struggled a little with the bats but did manage to hit 3 home runs on the night. Garrett Atkins, Luis Lopez and Ben Petrick all hit four baggers for the Sox and Luke Allen added 2 hits to continue his hot hitting for the Portland series. These two teams conclude the series Thursday evening as Denny Neagle (2-0, 3.00) will take the hill for the Sox and Ben Howard (4-6, 3.89) will go for Portland.
