EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Trapper Baseball Club announced today that right-handed pitcher Seung Song has been transferred from Double-A Harrisburg. Song will join fellow South Korean Sun Woo Kim in the Trappers' rotation, although the exact date of his first start with the club has yet to be determined. He is the youngest player currently on the Trapper roster and will become the first player born in the 1980's to suit up for Edmonton in a regular season game when he takes the mound for the first time. Song was born on June 29, 1980. Edmonton's roster currently stands at 23 players; 11 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders and four outfielders, plus one player (right-handed pitcher Troy Mattes) on the disabled list.

He was traded, along with Kim, to the Montreal Expos on July 30, 2002 in exchange for outfielder Cliff Floyd. Song split the 2002 season between Double-A Trenton, where he was 7-7, 4.39 (108.2 IP - 53 ER) in 21 starts and Harrisburg, where he went 0-0, 0.00 (5.0 IP - 0 ER) in one start.
