
Errors Add up in Rubber Match Loss

Defensive mistakes proved costly on Thursday Night at Gesa Stadium as the Tri-City Dust Devils (1-2, 17-24) lost 14-4 to the Spokane Indians (2-1, 24-17). Both Sean Guilbe and Logan Driscoll had three hits at the plate for the Dust Devils.
For the second time in the series Spokane scored ten runs in a single inning against Tri-City. The Indians took a commanding lead early after bringing home ten runs in the top of the second inning. Four errors from the Dust Devils helped to fuel Spokane's big second inning. Tri-City committed seven total errors in the loss, with six of them coming from third baseman Carlos Luis.
The Dust Devils will now head to Everett to begin a three-game road series. Left-hander Ethan Elliott will start the series opener for Tri-City.
The Dust Devils will return to Gesa Stadium on August 2nd to start a three-game series against the Vancouver Canadians. August 2nd will be Stone Coasters Giveaway Night presented by Gesa Credit Union and a CO-Energy Family Feast Night.
