ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to avoid dropping to 0-6 as they continue a three-game series at NYSEG Stadium against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets). The seven runs was the most allowed by the 'Wolves pitching staff through five games. Erie also surrendered a season-high seven walks in the contest. Offensively, Erie mustered just three hits in the loss but connected on a pair of home runs (the first two of the season). Erie's last road win came in a doubleheader sweep of Harrisburg September 2, 2009...Erie's seven runs in five games is the fewest runs scored in the EL...Lefty Jon Kibler takes the mound for the 'Wolves making his second start of the season and first against the Mets. Kibler, despite a solid outing in his first start, took a loss against Trenton on Opening Day...Kibler will be opposed by lefty Erie Niesen. Niesen is making his second start of the season. He split time in 2009 between St. Lucie and Binghamton. Niesen took a loss against Akron in his first start allowing three runs on four hits in four innings with two walks and three strikeouts.
