Erie Picks Seven in Final Five Priority Selection Rounds

Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie Otters selected seven players in the final five rounds of the 2016 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

In the 11th round of the OHL Priority Selection, the Otters took Cade Robinson 211th overall. The Jackson, Michigan native stands at 5' 8", 134-pounds played right wing for Detroit Honeybaked last season. The 16-year-old appeared in 22 games, scoring 16 goals and 24 points.

Harrison Rees was selected by the Otters with their second 11th round pick at 221st overall. The Mississauga, Ontario native skated in 35 games, tallying four goals and ten points. The 15-year-old defenseman stands at 5' 10.5", and weighs in at 136-pounds.

The Otters started back-to-back 12th round selections by taking Tyler Orban 240th. The Stittsville, Ontario native measures in at 5' 11", 147-pounds. The left-handed defender appeared in 45 games with the Kanata Lasers, tallying three goals and 15 points. With the following selection, the Otters took Matthew Bazarin. The 6' 3", 198-pound center spent last season with the Markham Majors.

Erie used their 13th round pick to take forward Maxim Golod 261st overall. The Concord, Ontario native weighs in at 151-pounds and stands at 5' 9.5". Golod spent the 2015-16 season with the Mississauga Senators.

In the 14th round, the Otters selected Adam Trotman 281st overall. The Concord, ON native spent the 2015-16 season with the Toronto Red Wings. The forward measures in at 5' 10.5", and weighs 185-pounds.

With the final pick of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, Erie selected goaltender Dan Murphy. The Waterford, ON native spent the last year with the Brantford 99'ers. The netminder stands at 6', 163-pounds.
