Erie BayHawks Select Donell Taylor in First Round

ERIE - The NBA Development League Erie BayHawks selected Donell Taylor (6' 6" / 215 lbs.) of the University of Alabama- Birmingham. Undrafted out of college Taylor is a veteran of two seasons with the Washington Wizards. Taylor has spent the past couple of seasons playing in Greece and Belgium.

As part of an agreement with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the BayHawks will submit paperwork to the NBA Development League Friday morning to acquire the rights to Alade Aminu (PF, 6' 10" / 235 lbs.) the first round, tenth overall pick of the Mad Ants that was executed on behalf of the BayHawks, in exchange for the rights to Rob Kurz (Notre Dame) who was allocated to Erie by the D-League.

In the second round the BayHawks snagged John Bryant, a 6' 11"- 300 pound center from Santa Clara University. While with the Broncos, Bryant averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds and 2.5 block shots per game.
