
Eric Lindros to Drop the Puck Sunday, March 29

Former General, Eric Lindros will be in attendance at the second home game of the Generals first round of playoffs, taking place Sunday, Mar. 29 at 7:00 p.m. Eric and other players from the 1990 Memorial Cup winning Generals team will drop the puck and kick-off the second game of the Generals 2015 playoff run. The first round of playoffs are brought to you by Minacs and the Peterborough Petes will be our opponent through the entire round. Start the night off right by heading to our Ontario Motor Sales tailgate beginning at 5:30 p.m. right outside the General Motors Centre.
Eric Lindros played for the Generals from 1989-1992, winning a Memorial Cup with the team in 1990. In 95 games played as a General, Lindros scored an impressive 97 goals and 119 assists for 216 points while playing in Oshawa. In addition, he won the Red Tilson Trophy as the OHL's MVP and was the CHL Player of the Year in 1990. In 2006 Eric's number (88) was retired and his banner hangs in the General Motors Centre today.
Lindros went on to start in the NHL for 13 seasons and accumulated 865 points in just 760 regular season games. A former Hart Trophy winner and NHL scoring champion, Lindros battled injuries throughout his career but was still one of the most prolific scorers of his era.
Eric says, "I'm excited to be back in Oshawa for Sunday's game against the Petes. The team has had an amazing season so far and I wish them all the best for a long and successful playoff run."
