Energy's Nick Nurse to Coach NBA D-League Select Team at Vegas Summer League

DES MOINES, IA, June 30, 2010 - Iowa Energy Head Coach Nick Nurse has been selected to coach the NBA D-League Select Team at the 2010 NBA Las Vegas Summer League. The team, comprised of 11 NBA D-League players, will play a five-game schedule beginning on Monday, July 12, at the Cox Pavilion and Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.

"It's an honor to be selected to coach this team and I look forward to our squad competing against the best young players in the NBA," said Nurse. "The D-League team won several games at last year's summer league and really proved how good our league is. We hope to build on that this year."

Mark Tyndale, who averaged 12.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Energy last season, will play for Nurse on the D-League Select team. Energy Assistant Coach Nate Bjorkgren will also be part of the team's coaching staff.
