Dakota's Curtis Withers Named To D-League Select Team

BISMARCK, ND, June 30, 2010 - The NBA Development League announced today that Wizards forward Curtis Withers has been named to the NBA D-League Select team, which will compete in the 2010 NBA Summer League. The team, comprised of 11 NBA D-League players, will play a five-game schedule beginning on Monday July 12, at the Cox Pavilion and Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas.
Withers averaged 11.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 24.5 minutes in 50 games for the Dakota Wizards in his first season in the NBA D - League. He recorded season highs in points (31) and rebounds (20) against Rio Grande Valley on January 19th. Prior to joining the Wizards, Withers played professionally in Turkey, France and Israel.
