
Energy Alumni Take the Court During Samsung 2014 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas

Des Moines, IA (July 11, 2014) - Nine former Iowa Energy players, including four from the 2013-14 season will be participating in the Samsung NBA Summer League which tips-off tonight in Las Vegas. The nine Energy players are: Shannon Brown (New York Knicks); Jackie Carmichael (Dallas Mavericks); Nick Covington (Utah Jazz); Austin Freeman (Chicago Bulls); Charles Garcia (Washington Wizards); Quincy Miller (Denver Nuggets); Shabazz Muhammad (Minnesota Timberwolves); Glen Rice, Jr. (Washington Wizards) and Chris Wright (Denver Nuggets).
130 total players with NBA D-League experience are participating in the Samsung NBA Summer League.
Note: The Energy also had four additional former players take the court in Orlando (Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League): Jackie Carmichael (Indiana Pacers); Jarrid Famous (Memphis Grizzlies); Kalin Lucas (Memphis Grizzlies) and Marquis Teague (Brooklyn Nets).
