Elmira's Betts Suspended Five Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Elmira left wing Kaleb Betts for five games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #711 at Dayton on Mar. 14.

Betts was assessed a Match Penalty under Rule 47.14 Fighting at 7:09 of the second period.

He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Betts will miss Elmira's games vs. Trenton (Mar. 17), vs. Johnstown (Mar. 20), vs. Johnstown (Mar. 21), at Johnstown (Mar. 22) and at Reading (Mar. 25).
