
Eight Hurricanes Alumni on NHL Training Camp Rosters

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club are well represented as eight alumni will take part in National Hockey League training camps as Phase 3 of the NHL's Return to Play process began on Monday.
The eight former 'Canes include three forwards, four defenseman and one goaltender. The eight former Hurricanes are: Calen Addison (Minnesota Wild), Brayden Burke (Arizona Coyotes), Reid Duke (Vegas Golden Knights), Brennan Menell (Minnesota Wild), Luca Sbisa (Winnipeg Jets), Colton Sceviour (Florida Panthers), Brent Seabrook (Chicago Blackhawks) and Stuart Skinner (Edmonton Oilers).
In total, 24 NHL teams began training camp in Phase 3 of their Return to Play process with a maximum of 31-players on their camp rosters. The NHL will move to Phase 4 on August 1st when 16 of the 24 teams will begin best-of-five qualifying rounds in the NHL hub cities of Edmonton and Toronto before quarterfinal playoff series begin on August 11th.
While eight former Hurricanes are taking part in training camps, a total of 21 Hurricanes alumni played professional hockey during the 2019-2020 season in either the NHL, American Hockey League or East Coast Hockey League, including:
NHL: Luba Sbisa (Winnipeg Jets), Colton Sceviour (Florida Panthers), Brent Seabrook (Chicago Blackhawks).
AHL: Arvin Atwal (Milwaukee Admirals), Carter Bancks (Utica Comets), Jordy Bellerive (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins), Brayden Burke (Tucson Roadrunners), Reid Duke (Chicago Wolves), Jake Elmer (Hartford Wolfpack), Macoy Erkamps (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins), Nick Henry (Colorado Eagles), Jake Leschyshyn (Chicago Wolves), Brennan Menell (Iowa Wild), Andrew Nielsen (Stockton Heat), Stuart Skinner (Bakersfield Condors).
ECHL: Alex Baer (Newfoundland Growlers), Giorgio Estephan (Newfoundland Growlers), Adam Henry (Fort Wayne Komets), Mitch Maxwell (Utah Grizzlies), Brad Morrison (Fort Wayne Komets), Taylor Ross (Norfolk Admirals).
An additional six Hurricanes alumni spent the 2019-2020 season playing professionally in the Kontinental Hockey League: Carter Ashton (Dinamo Riga), Egor Babenko (Traktor Chelyabinsk), Jacob Berglund (Dinamo Riga), Rob Klinkhammer (Avangard Omsk), Juha Metsola (Salavat Yulaev), Tyler Wong (Kunlun Red Star).
