Of Special Note:

The O-line, QBs and running backs spent the morning in meetings while the rest of the squad spent session #1 working on special teams.

Calling it the most competitive camp he's seen in his five seasons with the Esks, General Manager of Football, Paul Jones says several players have impressed him, including second year linebacker Kelvin Powell, DBs Darrel Crutchfield and Cordell Taylor, Donny Brady and Canadians Emmanuel Casseus and Olanzo Jarrett.

More than a few players have remarked on the strength of fullback Kojo Aidoo, Edmonton's second selection (10th overall) in the 2003 CFL Canadian Draft.

TSN's Glen Suitor rolled into camp to work on a profile of running back Mike Pringle.

Injuries: Quincy Coleman sat today to rest a leg injury.

Joe Bonaventura (hip flexor) missed the afternoon session.

Antonio Harrison (hamstring)

Emmanuel Casseus (knee)

Cordell Taylor (thumb)

The Esks are still waiting on MRI results on Scott Robinson (SB-non-import) who underwent off-season knee surgery.

Departures

None.
