ECHL Announces Fines, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspension.

Reading's Paquette fined, suspended

Reading's Danick Paquette has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #289, Orlando at Reading, on Dec. 15.

Paquette was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding at 4:18 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Paquette will miss Reading's game at Elmira today (Dec. 16) and will have a hearing with ECHL Hockey Operations this week.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Kalamazoo's Clarke fined

Kalamazoo's Aaron Clarke has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in the third period of ECHL Game #292, Florida at Kalamazoo, on Dec. 16.

Clarke is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Kalamazoo's Kattelus fined

Kalamazoo's Eric Kattelus has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #292, Florida, at Kalamazoo, on Dec. 16.

Kattelus was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 20:00 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Kalamazoo's Bootland fined

Kalamazoo head coach Nick Bootland has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #292, Florida at Kalamazoo, on Dec. 16.

Bootland was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 17:25 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Elmira's Bellamy fined

Elmira's Rob Bellamy has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #288, Elmira at Trenton, on Dec. 15.

Bellamay was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.5 at 16:23 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Utah's Mills fined

Utah's Brad Mills has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #295, Alaska at Utah, on Dec. 15.

Mills was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 2:26 of overtime. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
