Eastman Falls In Debut

2018 4th round pick by the Phillies, Colton Eastman suffered the loss in his professional debut, allowing three runs over two innings on three walks and two strikeouts.

Brayan Gonzalez finished the night 2 for 5 with a RBI double, giving him a team-high 17th RBI. Jesse Wilkening finished the night 2 for 4 with a walk. Matt Kroon went 2 for 4 with a walk and two singles. Ben Aklinski went 2 for 5 with a pair of singles.

Jack Perkins allowed a run over two innings of work, striking out two batters. Juan Escorcia allowed a pair of runs over three innings and Tyler Carr worked a perfect frame in the bottom of the 8th inning, striking out two.

Williamsport struggled with runners in scoring position, finishing the night 2 for 16 and stranding 15 runners over the course of the game. Williamsport left the bases loaded three times in the contest.

The Crosscutters are now 4-11 on the road and have a 2-3 record against non-Pinckney division opponents.
