San Jose Earthquakes News Release
San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski rallied the team to its first road win in 2019 after tallying a pair of goals in Sunday evening's 2-1 triumph over Toronto FC at BMO Field. Wondolowski's brace against the Canadian side improves his all-time MLS scoring record to 150 goals. The San Jose skipper netted his 42nd career game-winning goal in the 81st minute, putting him ahead of Landon Donovan (41) as the league's newest leader in game-winning goals.
Earthquakes Midfielder Cristian Espinoza was credited with the assist in both of Wondolowski's goals, bumping his assists tally in his first season as an MLS player to six. Espinoza has produced five assists in his last five appearances and has registered three-game winning assists.
