Get Earthquakes Fit presented by Kaiser Permanente Closing Ceremony Assembly
Who: Tim Ward
What: Ring will congratulate third and fourth graders at Castro Elementary for completing the Earthquakes' five-week health and fitness program, Get Earthquakes Fit presented by Kaiser Permanente

Details: Get Earthquakes Fit presented by Kaiser Permanente is a fun, five-week program designed by Earthquakes Head Athletic Trainer Bruce Morgan and the Santa Clara County Office of Education to increase physical activity in the classroom and at home. This spring, 12 local schools will be incorporating this program in their 3rd and 4th grade curriculum.

All Star Ballot
Voting for the 2012 AT&T MLS All-Star is now underway at MLSsoccer.com and via text messaging. A panel of media members nominated a total of 114 players - the top six per team - to the fan ballot. CLICK HERE TO VOTE . Fans can also vote by sending a player's first and last name via text message to 22442. Twitter voting will occur June 21-22. The Quakes eligible for fan voting are Rafael Baca, Steven Beitashour, Jon Busch, Marvin Chavez, Steven Lenhart and Chris Wondolowski. The players with the highest combined votes from these three voting methods will become the first 11 All-Stars - known as the All-Star First XI. The player who receives the most text votes by 2 p.m. PT on Monday, July 2 will automatically earn a spot among the All-Star First XI. All-Star Head Coach Peter Nowak of the Philadelphia Union will choose the gameday roster and the starting lineup against Chelsea FC on July 25. The first marquee MLS event ever to be held at PPL Park in Chester, Penn., will be broadcast live on ESPN2, TeleFutura, and in Canada on TSN and RDS starting at 5:30 p.m. PT.
Wondolowski, USMNT Defeat Antigua & Barbuda, Face Guatemala in 2014 World Cup Qualifying
Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski and the U.S. Men's National Team beat Antigua & Barbuda 3-1 on Friday, June 8 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Although Wondolowski did not suit up for the match, the U.S. successfully began its 18-month quest to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. Wondolowski played the final 10 minutes of the USMNT's 0-0 draw with Canada on June 3 after not suiting up in either of the USMNT's first two matches, a 5-1 defeat of Scotland in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 26 and a 4-1 defeat to Brazil on May 30. Wondolowski will wrap up his national team stint with a 2014 World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday, June 12 at Guatemala (7 p.m. PT, ustream.tv) at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City.
Bernardez, Honduras Fall to Panama, Set to Take on Canada in 2014 World Cup Qualifiers
Panama defeated Earthquakes defender Victor Bernardez and Honduras 3-0 in a 2014 World Cup qualifying match on June 2 in Honduras. Bernardez started and played the full 90 minutes for Honduras. Bernardez also started and played the full 90 minutes for Honduras in a 3-0 friendly victory over El Salvador on June 2 in which Bernardez scored. Bernardez will finish his shift with Honduras on Tuesday, June 12 when Honduras travels to Toronto's BMO Field to take on Canada in a World Cup qualifying match.
Salinas Returns
Quakes midfielder Shea Salinas returned to game action with a goal last Friday in the Quakes Reserve League match against Chivas USA at The Home Depot Center. Salinas played 90 minutes and scored in the 82nd minute on a pass from Sam Garza in the Quakes 3-1 loss to Chivas USA. The Texas native had not played a competitive match since he suffered a clavicle fracture on April 14 against the New York Red Bulls. The Quakes are now 1-2-2 in the Reserve League in 2012.
Jean-Marc Alexandre on Loan
Quakes midfielder Jean-Marc Alexandre is currently on loan with Orlando City SC until June 18. Alexandre joined Orlando last week and appeared in his first match on June 9 against the Charleston Battery, scoring a goal in a 2-1 win. He is scheduled to suit up for the next match against Antigua Barracuda FC on June 17, before returning to San Jose prior to its match against the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday, June 20 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
Earthquakes Advance to U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals
The San Jose Earthquakes fourth-round win over the NASL's Minnesota Stars FC on June 5 moved the club into the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup for the eighth time in club history. Steven Lenhart scored the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Minnesota. The last time San Jose advanced to the final eight was Aug. 24, 2005 when the club fell 2-1 against the LA Galaxy at Spartan Stadium. The Quakes lone appearance in the U.S. Open Cup's semifinals came in 2004 when the Quakes fell to the Kansas City Wizards 1-0 on the road.
Garza Records Seventh Brace in Earthquakes' U.S. Open Cup History
Earthquakes rookie midfielder Sam Garza became the seventh player in club history to notch a brace in U.S. Open Cup play after scoring two goals for San Jose in its 2-1 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on May 29. Earthquakes to Host U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal at Kezar Stadium vs. Seattle Sounders FC
The Earthquakes will host a U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match against Seattle Sounders FC on Tuesday, June 26 at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT. For tickets or more information, visit sjearthquakes.com.
Quakes Second in the Western Conference
Approaching the midway point in the season, the San Jose Earthquakes (8-3-3, 27 pts.) are second in the Western Conference, two points behind Supporters' Shield leaders Real Salt Lake (9-3-2, 29 pts.). Seattle Sounders FC (7-3-3, 24 pts.) are third, followed by Vancouver Whitecaps FC (6-3-4, 22 pts.) and the Colorado Rapids (6-6-1, 19 pts.).
Race for the Budweiser Golden Boot
Chris Wondolowski is tied with New York Red Bulls striker Kenny Cooper atop the 2012 Budweiser Golden Boot race with 11 goals. Thierry Henry is next with nine followed by MLS newcomer Saer Sene of New England and D.C. United's Maicon Santos with seven apiece.

Wells Fargo Goals for Education
Wells Fargo has again pledged to donate $250 for each goal the Earthquakes score in 2012 through the Goals for Education program. With 27 goals through 14 games, the donated total for this season already stands at $6,750. Thanks to 40 goals in 2011, the partnership raised $10,000 for local youth soccer and athletic development programs a year ago.
