San Jose Earthquakes News Release
The San Jose Earthquakes fell to Orlando City SC 5-0 last Tuesday at Exploria Stadium and the LA Galaxy 3-1 last Saturday at PayPal Park. The sold-out California Clasico on Saturday was the Quakes' first match at PayPal Park with no capacity restrictions since March 7, 2020.
The Earthquakes announced on Tuesday that the club has parted ways with general manager Jesse Fioranelli effective immediately. Fioranelli served as the club's general manager since January 2017, guiding the team to a 41-67-28 regular season record and reaching the MLS Cup Playoffs in 2017 and 2020.
The Quakes will now hit the road to face Minnesota United FC this Saturday, July 3. The match kicks off from Allianz Field at 5:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.

ACADEMY UPDATE
The MLS NEXT playoffs kicked off this past weekend with the Quakes Academy Boys U-15s defeating the LA Surf 1-0 on Friday, June 25, and FC Dallas 3-0 on Monday, June 28 to advance to the semifinals where they will face Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, June 30. The match will kick off at 6:05 p.m. PT and will be streamed on MLSsoccer.com and the free MLS app.

The U-17s defeated Atlanta United 3-1 on Saturday June 26, before being eliminated by the Colorado Rapids 3-1. The U-17s have joined the MLS Next Showcase for the remainder of the tournament.
Quakes Academy players Damian Alguera, Alejandro Cano and Brandon Zelaya were called up to El Salvador's Senior National Team camp in Los Angeles.
