SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes and adidas unveiled today the club's Navy SEAL Foundation Jersey, featuring a sleek white design with blue and gray trim. A portion of proceeds from jersey sales at the Quakes Team Store, powered by Gyft, will benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. The Quakes are the first team in Major League Soccer history to have a portion of their jersey revenue benefit a nonprofit.

The Quakes unveiled the jersey in dramatic fashion at the unveil event at Hornet Field in Alameda, Calif. Pulling along the side of the Bay in a military rescue boat, retired Navy SEAL Dan O'Toole jumped out of the moving vessel and swam to shore. Upon reaching dry land and stepping on the stage in front of 1,000 fans, he removed his wetsuit top to give the public their first glimpse of the new kit.

The 2018 Navy SEAL Foundation Jersey features an athletic player fit and engineered back panel providing the player with freedom of movement and temperature regulation. The jersey is constructed with innovative materials, including adizero polyester fabric, making it one of the lightest soccer jerseys available on the market.

The Navy SEAL Foundation Jersey includes details that represent the team. The gray sublimated print features the Quakes' iconic impact pattern that references fault lines. The Navy SEAL Foundation crest is featured along the back neck, attributing to the Quakes' support for the foundation with this jersey. On all authentic jerseys, SJ74 is printed as a jock tag on the bottom left, and two stars are featured above the Quakes crest recognizing the club's two MLS Cup victories.

Five percent of each jersey sold at the Quakes Team Store, powered by Gyft, will go to the Navy SEAL Foundation. Established to support the Navy's most elite forces, the Navy SEAL Foundation's programs are focused on the preservation of the Naval Special Warfare force and their families. They provide a comprehensive set of programs specifically designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resiliency, empower and educate families and provide critical support during times of illness, injury, loss and transition.

The Quakes Foundation also unveiled their second mini-pitch in the Bay Area at the event, provided in collaboration with the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The mini-pitch at Hornet Field is a permanent fixture in Alameda and offers children and adolescents a safe place to play. It will be used frequently by members of Alameda Soccer Club and is the site of weekend futsal matches. The Alameda Boys & Girls Club will also utilize the new field and benefit from the U.S. Soccer Foundation's Soccer for Success program.

The 2018 kit is now officially available for purchase, with all Earthquakes Season Pass Holders receiving a 20 percent discount. Fans can purchase the jersey at the Quakes Team Store, powered by Gyft, located at Avaya Stadium open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and on game days.
