
Earthquakes Sign D Jed Zayner

San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has signed former Generation adidas defender Jed Zayner. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Zayner appeared in 49 games with the Columbus Crew and D.C. United from 2006-11. A No. 13 overall 2006 MLS SuperDraft selection out of Indiana, the right back spent 2006-10 in Columbus before being traded to United in August of 2010. While in the nation's capital, Zayner started each in each of his 13 appearances.
The 2005 M.A.C. Hermann Trophy semifinalist trialed with the Earthquakes during the 2012 preseason. In his college career, he helped Indiana to back-to-back NCAA College Cups while starting in each of his three seasons as a Hoosier.
