
Earthquakes Partner with Stanford Blood Center to Host Blood Drive on July 11 at Buck Shaw Stadium

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today they have partnered with the Stanford Blood Center for the second year in a row to host a blood drive on Saturday, July 11 when the Quakes take on Toronto FC at Buck Shaw Stadium. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT.
Prior to the game, fans can donate blood at the Stanford Blood Center Blood Mobile, which will be located at the VIP lot by the South Gate entrance of the stadium from 2:30-6:30 p.m. PT. Fans interested in donating blood at the stadium should sign up by calling 888-723-78331 or by visiting bloodcenter.stanford.edu. Donors will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed Earthquakes jersey.
Stanford Blood Center was created in 1978 with the mission of meeting the blood transfusion needs of Stanford Hospital and Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. Additionally, the Blood Center facility is used for teaching and research and since opening, has accomplished numerous achievements in transfusion medicine, particularly in the areas of blood safety and compatibility testing.
