Revolution's Taylor Twellman added to disabled list
June 26, 2009 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution has placed forward Taylor Twellman on the team's disabled list because of concussive symptoms. Twellman, 29, will miss a minimum of six league matches.
The decision to move Twellman to the disabled list was made after he had a follow-up appointment with his doctors on Thursday, June 25, following a two-week break from athletic activities. He last participated in a Revolution training session on Tuesday, June 9.
Despite returning to the field for two appearances this season - May 30 against D.C. United and June 7 against the New York Red Bulls - Twellman suffered a relapse of symptoms and has not seen any action since. He scored two goals, including his 100th career MLS goal, against New York.
New England Revolution will host Mexican Primera División club Atlas at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, at Gillette Stadium in the Group B finale of SuperLiga 2009 for both clubs. The game will be televised nationally in Spanish on Telefutura, while streaming video of the match will be available in English on superliga2009.com. ESPN Deportes Radio will carry the game nationally in Spanish, while local listeners can tune into the WEEI Radio Network for English audio.
