
Earthquakes Midfielder Andre Luiz Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced that midfielder Andre Luiz underwent successful surgery Friday, Feb. 26. Andre Luiz had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Earthquakes team orthopaedist Dr. Mike Oberlander performed the surgery at the Sequoia Surgical Pavilion.
Andre Luiz signed with San Jose on July 31, 2009 and appeared in seven games for the Quakes in both central midfield and central defense.
