San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (2-2-0) host Toronto FC (1-1-2) tonight at PayPal Park in San Jose. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be streamed globally on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, as well as on local radio via 810 AM The Spread (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
The Earthquakes are looking to extend their perfect start at home after previously defeating Vancouver Whitecaps FC (March 4) and the Colorado Rapids (March 11) at PayPal Park. San Jose is coming off a 3-0 road defeat to St. Louis CITY SC, who are currently the top team in MLS with a 4-0-0 record.
Toronto FC began the season winless in their first three matches (0-1-2) before defeating Inter Miami CF 2-0 last weekend. The team is led by Designated Player Federico Bernardeschi, a longtime member of the Italy National Team, who has two goals and two assists this season.
Neither team will be at full strength tonight due to injuries and the FIFA international window. Toronto is expected to be without injured Italian Designated Player Lorenzo Insigne while four players were called to represent the Canada National Team. San Jose is expected to be without injured goalkeeper Daniel, midfielder Jamiro Monteiro (Cape Verde), and defender Miguel Trauco (Peru), among others.
