SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes dropped their season opener 3-0 to defending MLS Cup champion Real Salt Lake on Saturday night at Buck Shaw Stadium. RSL scored two first-half goals and then netted a third early in the second half to earn the win.
